Lately, everyone is having to spend a lot more time at home with their partners and it can get a bit stressful, I’m not gonna lie. So I decided to come up with some fun date night ideas that everyone can do from the comfort of their own home. They include picnics, self-care nights, movie nights and more!
Have an Unplugged Indoor Picnic
Grab your picnic blanket, some pillows, turn off all electronic devices, and grab your food. Maybe even light some candles to make it a bit more romantic and enjoy your time together. There is a lot of stress going on in the world right now and having no distractions around even just for 1 hour will make all the difference.
I’ve always loved the idea of this but with Nova (our pup) it might be a bit crazy. But this is definitely something I want to try since Stefan is home more.
Bucketlist Date Night
Grab your favorite snacks and drinks, sit down together, and write out a bucket list for you both! Travel, goals, etc.
I love sitting down with Stefan to write more things on our travel bucket list, although our list is already pretty long and I don’t know how much more we can write down on it haha.
Plan a Self-Care Night
Nothing beats sitting down on the couch, eating my favorite snack while doing a facemask with my partner! It’s relaxing and fun for both of you.

Make Breakfast in Bed
Nothing beats having pancakes, hashbrowns, and hot peppermint tea in bed. We rarely have breakfast in bed anymore because Nova will just try to eat all of our food haha.
Stefan and I have quite a few games and puzzles at home that we definitely want to get to while he is home. He bought a beautiful hand-carved wooden chess set from the black forest so I want him to teach me how to play one night.
Cook a Meal Together
Since Stefan has been home a lot more recently, we love to cook at least 1 meal together every day. It gives us a chance to de-stress from the workday and focus on each other.
If you need some recipes ideas, I wrote a blog post of “My 4 Favorite Vegan Recipes” that are super easy to make for date nights 🙂
Start Watching a New TV Series
I love finding something new to watch with Stefan. Our recent TV binge was to the first season of “The Good Doctor”. I’m sad that only season one is available on Amazon Prime but the first season was so addicting and I can’t wait to watch more.
Catch a Sunrise or Sunset in your Backyard
Now that I have a new terrace set and it gets darker later, I will definitely be catching more sunsets in the evening. I also want to try to catch a few sunrises as well, but only if I don’t have to set an alarm haha.
Do an Art Night
An art night is where you grab a bunch of art supplies (paint, canvas’, paper, pens, etc.), find something you and your partner are both interested in painting and go for it.
Someone I follow on Instagram just did this on a live stream and it looked like so much fun! My amazon cart is already filled with supplies and I am currently looking up ideas on what to paint on my Pinterest. Stefan wants us to try and paint each other so we will see how that goes haha.
Stefan and I just recently bought a new lounge set for our terrace so we definitely want to start having more dinners outside (of course once it heats up a bit more!).
I hope you all enjoyed today’s blog post! Let me know down in the comments below if you decide to try any of my date night ideas! 🙂
